About Us

As highlighted in the report on population policy published by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 2015, it is imperative for Hong Kong, in addition to nurturing local talent, to adopt a proactive approach to attract and bring in global professionals to work here to meet the huge demand for talent to support the development of Hong Kong’s high value-added industries.

The Labour Department has set up this dedicated employment information e-platform to strengthen employment support for persons with higher education, in particular Hong Kong students who are educated in tertiary institutions outside Hong Kong, the second generation of Hong Kong emigrants who are interested in working in Hong Kong, as well as persons from overseas with higher academic/professional qualifications. This e-platform, named the “Higher Education Employment Information e-Platform”, aims to enhance their understanding of the Hong Kong employment market and facilitate them to search and apply for suitable job openings through this e-platform.

This e-platform has three major parts, namely “Job Search”, “Employment Information” and “Sharing Zone”. Job seekers may search jobs in “Job Search” which comprises “Jobs” and “Featured Jobs”. Job seekers may search suitable vacancies through “Job Search”, and submit applications direct to the relevant employers if they fulfil the job requirements. “Employment Information” provides job seekers with relevant information on the local working environment, including an overview of employment in Hong Kong, key industries, immigration guidelines and working visa application procedures, qualification assessment and professional standards, application for civil services vacancies, labour legislation, taxation, employment services in Hong Kong, and so on. “Sharing Zone” is a message board to allow visitors to bring up employment-related questions, supplemented by a wealth of frequently asked questions.

Job seekers who are degree holders are welcome to use this e-platform. For jobs of other education qualification requirements, please visit Interactive Employment Service (http://www.jobs.gov.hk).
